“I have been in this game way too long not to come back strong”: Ohio Grand Prix
by george on Apr.06, 2010, under Meets, Technique, Travel
I have just returned from my second meet of the season after a 3rd place finish in the 50 m free and a 2nd place in the 100m free. The competition was held at the Ohio State’s amazing aquatic facility. I was competing against the top pros in the USA and some Olympic medalists from around the world.
Here are the links to the videos of my races. I just tried to upload my own but the videos are too big. Check them out below!
You might have to scroll down until you see 100 FREE A FINAL, and 50 FREE A FINAL in the list.

This is the time of year to feel like this though.
I have been also working to correct a few tiny technical mistakes in my stroke. When it comes to my technique I can really be a perfectionist which at times is frustrating. I guess I got a little sloppy last semester when I was doing my thesis full time and only swimming when I could, just to stay in shape.
It’s still early in the season and I am confident that I will be able to iron everything out in time for when it really counts. (continue reading…)
